The Skinny Vegan Diet

The Skinny Vegan Diet has a great weight loss plan, which removes animal products, processed food and fast food from your nutrition. On the other side, this diet promotes eating fruits, vegetables and soy products. According to the Keri Gans, RD, a spokesperson for the American Dietetic Association, using this diet will make you happier and healthier! This diet is an elimination diet. Which means, you cannot eat animal products, and you cannot have snacks! You will also have to wait until you are famished to eat.

If you want to use The Skinny Vegan diet, here is the sample menu. For breakfast you can have: a fresh squeezed grapefruit juice, strawberries, raspberries and oatmeal with blueberries. For lunch you can have: Vegan potato salad, veggie burger with onion, lettuce, avocado, tomato and alfalfa sprouts. For dinner you can eat: imitation chicken patty with lentils and steamed kale.

There are several good sides of using this diet. This diet encourages people to eat healthy and avoid ‘’bad’’ food. You will eat more fruit and vegetables, which is good for you. Because physical activity is part of the diet, you will have more energy and you will be happier.
Sadly, there are some drawbacks! The main problem with this diet is a lack of vitamins, especially vitamins D and B12. And you know that vitamin D is one of the most important vitamin! You cannot have a recommended daily intake of calcium and iron! The other drawback is the lack of information. You know that you should have ‘’soup and salad’’, but there are no more information. Other drawbacks are: lack of scientific research and it is expensive!
